We postponed the opening of Dixie Swim Club. Germantown Community Theatre has undergone renovations that have delayed the opening of the show from its originally scheduled opening of Friday, February 25, at 8:00 pm. Our staff and volunteers have pulled off an amazing feat in a few short days. We are now shifting gears to complete the set and give the cast and crew time to focus on making the show the best that it can be.

Ticket patrons with reservations for the original opening weekend were contacted to reschedule their ticket reservations within the amended run. Please contact the Germantown Community Theatre Box Office at 901-937-3023 for updates. We are humbled by the graciousness of all of our volunteers and the City of Germantown, and grateful to the The Dixie Swim Club cast, crew, and especially to director Leigh Ann Evans for illustrating the meaning of the term "Grace Under Fire."

	ABOUT THE PLAY . . . Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August at a beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to recharge those relationships. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges that life flings at them. And when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives they rally ‘round their own with the strength and love that takes this comedy in a poignant and surprising direction.
