Hi – I’m Kerry Strahm (technical director, production and volunteer coordinator). There are so many ways to become involved here at GCT, and we hope you’ll find some way to contribute and to join in on the fun.
Since we’re a volunteer-based organization, everything you can think of is needed all the time. Not only do we need talented actors and technicians for our shows, we need help designing sets, ushering performances, sorting donated costumes, working in the scene shop and being on the ‘strike force’ – the team that takes the set down after the production has closed. We also need money and materials, and you never know when that old 1950s housecoat or funky lamp might be useful.
Give me a call – it’s an inexpensive and helpful way to entertain yourself. Plus, you get to be around a fun and talented bunch of people. We have a lot of fun – potluck dinners occasionally and free soda all the time!
Incidentally, here are some items we are always on the lookout for: used dimensional lumber and plywood, computer/copy paper, lightbulbs (those new green-friendly spirally kind), tools, painter’s tape (the blue kind, all widths), duct tape, gift cards (to Lowe’s, Farrell Calhoun Paint, Target, Wal-Mart and Mainstage) and latex paints of all colors.
Thanks! I look forward to seeing you at GCT!

Technical Director and Production/Volunteer Coordinator
