Hello! My name is Julia Hinson. I am the director of Education and Outreach here at Germantown Community Theatre. GCT has lots of exciting things going on for kids and adults alike – so join us for some fun!

Fun in Theatre (FIT) is the name for our classes, camps and workshops. We offer Saturday classes, summer camps, homeschool classes and occasionally special workshops.

All Children’s Theatre (ACT) is our summer performance series. Every summer we do a musical and a play. There are lots of opportunities for children to act, sing, dance, build sets, help with costumes and assist backstage!

The Fairy Tale Trail is a special performance we do within the Germantown Festival of Fun and Fright every October. Students act, lip-synch and dance their way through a fairy tale, performing for hundreds of audience members of all ages. There are no auditions and everyone will get a chance to shine.

The Young Artist Concert is a special fundraising event for Germantown Kiwanis. We look for the finest artist talent in Germantown. Everything from musicians to dancers will audition for the chance to perform a professional concert at Germantown Performing Arts Center.

Silver Stars is our senior play reading program. In both the fall and the spring Adults and Senior Citizens are welcome to join us every Tuesday for one month as we eat pastries, drink coffee and read a play aloud. Play a part or just listen in!

REACH- Germantown Parks and Recreations R.E.A.C.H. after school activities right at school.
