Is He Dead?

A new comedy by Mark Twain, adapted by David Ives

Directed by Marler Stone

September 11 - 27
Thursdays 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 8 pm, Sundays 2:30 pm

Jean-Francois Millet, a struggling painter in Paris, has come up with an ingenious way to win the heart of his beloved Marie, payoff his debts and achieve fame and fortune as an artist: he'll fake his own death! But afterward hi-jinks ensue when he decides to pose as his own sister - the "Widow Tillou" - and he and his zany band of artist pals must scramble to stave off suspicion, debtors and unwanted gentleman callers! This hilarious comedy by American master Mark Twain is a real drag!

Gorey Stories

By Garson Kanin A musical, based on the work of Edward Gorey
Adapted by Steven Currens; music by David Aldrich

Directed by Jason Spitzer

Regional Premiere
October 16 - November 1
Thursdays 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 8 pm, Sundays 2:30 pm

One part Tim Burton, one part Edgar Allen Poe, one part Addams Family, Edward Gorey was a uniquely dark American cartoonist whose work enlivened the pages of The New Yorker and the imaginations of a generation of writers and illustrators. His work is combined here as a weird and wonderful celebration of all thinqs macabre, creepy and delightful.

- Silly, strange and just a little bit salacious - this haunting hoot will tickle your funny bones!

Advisory: Due to the uniquely dark and macabre nature of this play, we do not recommend it for audience members under the age of 13. Parental discretion is advised.

Sweet and sassy, this smart-mouthed new play comes from a writer called the "Roman Catholic Neil Simon." Holy Moley!

Eudora Welty called Charlotte's Web "just about perfect, and just about magical in the way that it's done." Some compliment! Some pig!
